Thanks to everyone who helped and supported our endeavors. : )
One thing I wanted to explain so badly was that the machine
the students have will be equivalent to the machine I bought two
years ago for $1800! Their machine may cost close to $500 per machine,
but that is one heck of a deal with all the tech support, training, etc.
that comes with it. I actually estimated that each machine would cost
$800 prior to meeting Thursday night. The student machine has a
similar platform to my machine, which I use for my photography.
I highly recommend, if you can afford it, to purchase your own external
hard drive for your household, and back up anything you want to save.
All my photos are now saved on one as well as being uploaded to my
website (www.mrsf.smugmug.com). I learned this the hard way, and it
wasn't my computer's fault! (I was "cleaning" my machine and got too
carried away...)
I can't wait to get started in our new technology rich environment!
