Isn't it

amazing that the temperature is in the low thirties and we think it's "nice" outside!

The slow melt is probably the best, as I'm sure that there will be a HUGE lake in our
driveway soon.

So...our Portrait photography unit has been fun, and we will continue working on
portraits until the end of the year. Maybe do pets too, that's always a challenge.

Our self portrait collage assignments in Graphic Design have not been as popular
among the students as I thought they might be.

The cards created for the Red Cross (Thank you cards) are adorable, and I'm sure will
be appreciated. Now I just need to get them sent to the correct individual so they may
be dispersed. I'm pretty sure the 1st Grade has an understanding now of what the Red
Cross does and knows that if they see the symbol it means there is comfort/aide available.

In Kindergarten we created wanted posters! If we catch one of those sneaky little people, maybe
we'll all be RICH!

The second grade students learned how to create a Shamrock from a folded square. Folds always
present a problem and at least 2 (most of the time more) forget to cut so that the paper is not
cut in half. TAPE is our friend!

I hope everyone has a GREAT weekend and will possibly come and watch the GT Dance Team perform
in Armstrong Saturday night at the Showcase. Also...my daughter Graye will be dancing at the half
time of the Girls BB Tournament on Fox 44, as she is on the All Iowa Dance Team performing a pom routine.

toodles!
